The Genesis of Alligator Solar
Alligator Energies Pvt. Ltd. was founded in 2015 as the renewable arm of the Alligator Group, created to take the group's engineering-led approach into the solar energy space. The idea was clear from the start: offer relevant, economically viable, and eco-friendly solar solutions that genuinely help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
This vision has evolved into Alligator Solar - a focused commercial and industrial solar EPC partner that designs and delivers rooftop and ground-mount systems for businesses across India, moving beyond conventional thinking to solve real-world energy challenges.
Early Ventures and Breakthroughs
Alligator Solar started its journey in 2015, created to bring the group's engineering and innovation-driven approach into India's renewable energy space. As the clean energy arm of the Alligator Group, the company carried forward a culture of precision, reliability, and practical problem-solving rather than just reusing infrastructure.
From the beginning, each project was treated as a test of that approach - from detailed feasibility studies and clear project planning to precision engineering and post-installation asset care. Those early installations set the benchmark for how Alligator Solar now delivers EPC projects across its portfolio.

Over the years, Alligator Solar has grown from a rooftop-focused player into a partner for broader clean-energy needs. Director Profile
As Director and Co-Founder at Alligator Solar, Mr. Makarand Mirge brings over 13 years of hands-on experience in transforming idle roofs and land into reliable power assets for businesses. He works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that every solar PV system Alligator Solar delivers is engineered for long-term performance, financial viability, and measurable impact on energy costs and emissions.
With a strong background across project management, business development, and quality assurance in the renewable energy sector, he has led and guided multiple commercial and industrial installations under varied site conditions. This journey has shaped his core belief that clear planning, transparent risk discussions, and disciplined execution matter far more than claims, especially when supporting clients in moving closer to SDG-7 goals on clean, reliable power.
Mr. Mirge is certified in Agile Project Leadership and Business Development Foundations, enabling him to steer projects and teams with both structure and agility. His focus remains on building Alligator Solar as a future-ready, dependable solar EPC partner that consistently creates long-term value for customers, employees, and collaborators.
