Solar grid tie systems are connected to the electrical grid of a property, thus giving access to users to solar energy as well as electricity from the grid. In instances where there is no demand for energy, the solar Inverter/PCU sends excess energy into the grid, The excess energy is only sent into the grid if the Net Metering policy exists in the state.
Under the Net-metering policy, users can receive credit for the excess energy they generate. The grid-tied solar systems are no different than living with regular electricity, the only difference being that some or all the electricity used comes from the sun. Solar grid tie systems can be used in industrial areas, malls, showrooms, offices and so on.
